DESCRIPTION:PLEASE SHAREMagical Night to be “Drive-Through” Event\n  \nThe outside of the First Street Community Center will be lighted with holiday decorations.  On the east side\, of the front side walk\, Matt Siders will be handing out a bag with cookies and cookie decorations.  Also included in the bag will be a list of Mount Vernon shops and their shop hours during December. On the west side\, in front of the large red sun\, actors from the Mount Vernon/Lisbon Community Theatre will be singing and having fun with characters from “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”.\n\n  \n \nDance Arts Iowa will be performing scenes from the Nutcracker live in the front window of the Palisades Café.\n\nFirst Street will be lined with 1000 luminaries\, as well as window decorations and the community’s growing list of animatronics set up in the storefront windows of individual business.\nThe route will go from the First Street Community Center at the East side of 1st Street up to the Cornell College on the west side with a turnaround at Commons Circle to allow families in cars to see both sides of the street.\nChildren are encouraged to write a letter to Santa and deliver it to Santa and Mrs. Claus directly from the window of the family car into a special mailbox at Mount Vernon Bank and Trust.\n\nThe event will not include indoor activities this year due to safety concerns\, and parking will not be allowed along the 1st Street route.\nThe First Street Community Center parking lot will be closed to the public.  There will be no public traffic in First Street Community Center and shops will not be open.\nPLEASE SHARE

All these inventions dealt with things around us. However\, the evolutionary process being very\, very slow our physiology and psychology have not kept up to deal with the consequences of what we have created. For example\, various chemicals while most of them made our life easier also prove to be dangerous to health and environment. This has a compounding effect into the future affecting us and our children and so on. \nThis situation calls for our turning inwards to change our attitude to do what need to be done in directing Human evolution from now on for our survival. This is being Mindful. \nTherefore\, I have created a forum\, Inner Dimensional Engineering Agreement Sangha (IDEA Sangha) for like minded people to discuss what attitudinal changes we are to adopt. \nWe will meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month at 1PM\, in the Library. \nAll are welcome. \nPlease address any questions to jpattur@gmail.com \nPLEASE SHARE

The duo is known as Frances Luke Accord\, and they are what NPR’s Mountain Stage calls “the definition of lean-in music.” Their soulful\, effortless branch of indie-folk is orchestrated with spare and sophisticated acoustic threads woven into a lush backdrop for their intimate melodies. Rich\, up-close tenor harmonies lend their timeless songwriting an urgency that honors the Simon & Garfunkel comparisons but pushes beyond into the world of Bon Iver\, Jose Gonzalez\, and progressive folk music. \n  \n \n  \nBoth raised in South Bend\, IN\, Gunty and Powers met and began performing together during their time at the University of Notre Dame. Their first release\, Kandote\, was a bold intercultural collaboration with the Barefoot Truth Children’s Choir in Uganda\, a not-for-profit effort which provides ongoing support to the choir to this day. Relocating to Chicago in 2013\, the duo honed their songwriting craft while releasing two more self-produced EPs\, laying the groundwork for their breakthrough debut full-length\, Fluke\, in 2016. DESCRIPTION:PLEASE SHAREDue to the health concerns regarding public gatherings this particular session has been canceled.  At this time we are still planning on holding our other sessions.\n\nInner Dimensional Engineering Agreement Sangha (IDEA Sangha)\nWe are a product of Evolution\, a very slow process. Once evolved as Humans we progressed very rapidly through inventions which gave us a succession of ever improved tools for easier and yet easier living. All these inventions dealt with things around us. However\, the evolutionary process being very\, very slow our physiology and psychology have not kept up to deal with the consequences of what we have created. For example\, various chemicals while most of them made our life easier also prove to be dangerous to health and environment. This has a compounding effect into the future affecting us and our children and so on. \nThis situation calls for our turning inwards to change our attitude to do what need to be done in directing Human evolution from now on for our survival. This is being Mindful. \nTherefore\, I have created a forum\, Inner Dimensional Engineering Agreement Sangha (IDEA Sangha) for like minded people to discuss what attitudinal changes we are to adopt. \nWe will meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month at 1PM\, in the Library. \nAll are welcome. \nPlease address any questions to jpattur@gmail.com \nPLEASE SHARE

I want to be involved and engage other community members toward a common understanding in these contentious times. \nWe all have lots of pent-up thoughts going nowhere and wasted.
