Beehive – A 60’s Girl Group Musical
Beehive is a musical of 60’s girl groups for the young of heart of any age.
Shows will be performed live in the First Street Community Center’s Uptown Theatre. Performance dates are October 15 – 18. Shows on the 15th – 17th are at 7:30pm, with one show on the 18th at 2pm. Tickets are only $12.
David Hutchings wrote this for People Magazine about the original New York Village Gate theater production:
…Beehive, a rafter-raising musical revue of the female sound of the ’60s… Moving musically from the innocence of 1960, when Sandra Dee was engaged to Bobby Darin, to the troubles of 1969, with bitter anti-Vietnam War protest and flower-power children, Beehive is a nostalgic look backward at the wigged-out ’60s.
