Saturday, November 26 – 10am to 2pm
The Shop Smaller Market is a celebration of local growers, makers, businesses, artisans, and producers from Linn & Johnson County, converging in Mount Vernon on Shop Small Saturday – November 26, the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Join us at the First Street Community Center in the classic gymnasium of the former school building.
You’ll find some familiar faces from the Mount Vernon Farmers Market, and you’ll get to know some new people & their wares.

Dance Arts Iowa Presents the Nutcracker Workshop
On Saturday, November 26 we will dance with your children while you Shop Small!
Ages 3-6 and 7-9
10:00 a.m. – Check in
10:10 a.m. – Ballet Technique Class
10:50 a.m. – Nutcracker Craft
11:00 a.m. – Watch a Small Clip of the Nutcracker
11:15 a.m. – Learn a Dance from the Nutcracker
Families planning to attend the Nutcracker performance on December 11 at 2:00 p.m. will receive a complimentary ticket.
Cost of Workshop: $35
