MVL-CT Proudly Presents: Is He Dead?
A comedy by Mark Twain. Adapted and updated by David Ives.

Played as a period piece set in the mid-19th century Paris.  A young painter, Jean-Francois Millet plans to marry his love interest, Marie Leroux, but is thwarted by Andre a picture dealer to whom Jean-Francois is indebted to.

In order to make his paintings more valuable Jean-Francois fakes his own death and disguises himself as a woman.  He then becomes a successful artist.  If only he could figure out how to come back to life and reclaim Marie.

Come join us this Saturday July 12th in the First Street Community Theater at 5:00 PM for a Phenomenal Comedy Hypnosis Experience with Hypnotist Cory Osborne. The show is during Heritage Days and doors open for ticket sales at 4:00 PM. Tickets are $10.00 per person, $5.00 under 10 years.

Please help us welcome to the Uptown Theater at Mount Vernon’s First Street Community Center Odyssey’s 14th Annual Summer Drama Workshop. This year’s show, The Phantom Tollbooth,  has four performances Friday June 27th at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM and Saturday, June 28th at 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.

Come join us at the First Street Community Center Theater for an evening in concert with the Black Sheep and Waubeek Trackers on Saturday August 9th at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $15.00 available through the Mount Vernon Area Arts Council mvaac.org This concert is a fundraiser for the Mount Vernon Area Arts Council.
